In scope of the UNDEF funded project - Citizen Journalists for Free and Fair Elections - a two-day training was held on April 21-22 in the Sympatia Hotel where 27 journalists and coordinators from Georgia’s various regions selected 10 topics for coverage.

With the support of Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) Civic development Institute has started to implement a research project – “The information priority compliance research of the TV newscast and society in pre-election period”.

Civic Development Institute continues presenting the alternative document of the safe school policy prepared in scope of the project Advocacy for Transparent and Child Friendly School to the interested public in various cities of Georgia. The next meeting was held at the Center for Civic Engagement of Kutaisi city on April 12, 2012. 

On March 23, 2012 Civic Development Institute conducted a presentation of the project “New opportunities for educationally Deprived Children”. The project is supported by the European Union and the Open Society Institute. 

Civic Development Institute continues helding meetings with local media representatives in Georgia's regions. Another meeting was held on February 19, in Kutaisi city. 

On February 18, 2012 representatives of Civic Development Institue met the journalists of the Kharagauli district local newspaper “Cemi Gazeti” (My Newspaper). 

On February 15, 2012 representatives of Civic Development Institute Ia Antadze and Ketevan Kobaladze met the journalists of the local newspaper “Samkhretis Karibche” (South Gate) in Akhaltsikhe.

On February 3, 2012 representatives of Civic Development Institute organized a meeting with local media representatives in USAID organized Gori Center for Civic Engagement in order to present the goals and objectives of the newly started project Citizen Journalists for Free and Fair Elections.  

On January 21, 2012 a meeting of working team in scope of a new project New Opportunities for Educationally Deprived Children funded by EU was held at Civic Development Institute’s office.

In December 23-26 the training “Critical and Creative thinking Strategies and tools of integration in syllabi” was conducted in Akhaltsikhe State University. 

Since September 1st, 2011 to December 15, 2011 the Civic Development Institute (CDI), supported by UNICEF, has conducted a project “Setting up the self-regulation systems for the professional and ethical reporting of children in the media”. 

On November 11, 2011 Civic Development Institute presented a new book, Literacy, Numeracy, and Life Skills Guide for Teachers of Primary Level , to the public at Open Society Georgia’s office.

From 7th of November Civic Development Institute launches the third stage of the media monitoring. The two issues of the media monitoring is media coverage on juvenile crime and persons with disabilities. 

On October 24, 2011 at 18:00 in scope of the project No Child Left behind the General Education a discussing workshop was held on life skills standard at Civic Development Institute’s office. The presentation was prepared by the expert Maia Bakradze.

On October 13, 2011 in literary-art Cafe Karavan the book Safe School without Public Participation was presented. The book is prepared in scope of the project Safe School Civic Monitoring.

 On September 2-5 the first International Meeting in frames of the project “No Child left Behind the General Education” was held in Baku.

In July 15th, 2011, at 14:00, the Civic Development Institute within the project "No Child Left Behind General Education" is organizing a review meeting on the subject: “Discussion about Numeracy guideline materials".  

On June 30th, 2011, at 14:00, the Civic Development Institute within the project "No Child Left Behind General Education" is organizing a review meeting on the subject: “Discussion about literacy guideline materials".
